ELLEN SMITH is a visual artist working in Dallas, Texas. Her work explores post modern landscapes-- both physical and social--through abstraction. Her recent works explore the relationship of traditional women’s work to her studio practice which is based out of the home she shares with her partner.
She is a founding member of DADE Collective in Dallas, TX and her work has been shown at Ballroom Marfa, Homeland Security Domestic, 500X, 500 Singleton, Mercedes Benz Financial Services, and at Southern Methodist University where she received her BFA in Studio Art in 2015.
